Forget everything

you thought you knew

about “School Picture Day”

To be honest, I don't even like the phrase

"school pictures''

I don't take pictures of schools,

I take pictures of people-

little people- tiny humans.

My most favorite kind.

Your little ones spend such a huge part of their days away from you, in their own

unique world where they begin to learn all about the world around them

and who they are in it.

It’s even harder when they are still so little

that they cant tell you in words yet, how their day was.

Well, I want to give you a window into that world.

One thing I have learned more than anything else

in all of my years in working with the tiny humans is this-

NO. TWO. ARE. ALIKE.

Some kids warm up instantly to me and my camera.

Others, not so much.

The stranger anxiety struggle is real.

As a photographer, this breaks my heart because

I SO want to give you photos of your child where

at the very least-they're not crying!

As a former teacher, this breaks my heart because

I KNOW that if I just had a little more time to

spend with your munchkin, there would never

be any tears in the photos!

So I am restructuring my photography business for it to flow exactly as it should-

child-centered, child-led, developmentally appropriate, and most of all- FUN!

Picture Day will no longer be on just one day.

I will be spending several days in each center now so that I can just hang out

and spend time with the children to help them get

used to me and my camera.

That way, when it is time for us to capture those images, well-

we have already become friends and the results

of this will show in every single image.

We will still do some backdrop set-ups & shoot outdoors when the weather

permits, but now I will also be photographing the kids within their

classrooms as they play and learn and explore in their own little world.

I will let you know which days I will be focusing on your child and

their classroom so that you will still know which days

to dress them in the outfits you want them to be photographed in.

I hope you are as excited about this as I am!

I cannot wait to get this all rolling!

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

Stay tuned for further information

from your center's director as well as from me.

Thank you for trusting me to capture these images

of your tiny humans.

They all brighten my day and truly make my

heart smile every time I get to see them.
