This might just be the main reason I was inspired to change how I approach picture day in the child care centers. I can't tell you how much it pained me in the past to have to deliver photos to some of you of a couple of the younger munchkins when they were on the verge of tears or in a full-fledged meltdown! It pained me even more because I fully understood why it was happening, but because of the fast pace we needed to move at in order to get everyone's photos taken in one morning, there was not much I could do about it. There just wasn't enough time for the younger babies to get more comfortable around me before they were in front of my camera. This is why I am going to be spending more time than just one day with all of your kiddos from here on out. I have added some links here for you to check out when you have a chance that talk about Stranger Anxiety and how it is a completely normal, and healthy stage of development that many, if not most children go through.
